As an x-ray technician you will assist doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff by providing x-ray images of a patient. These images help physicians detect tumors, broken bones, scoliosis, and much more. Being an x-ray tech requires you to be detail oriented, punctual, and observant of your surroundings. Another critical skill is learning how to administer CPR and use an AED when a victim is having a heart attack or cardiac arrest. By taking an American Heart Association BLS CPR training with CPR of America you will have the skills and knowledge to save someone in a medical emergency.

In the American Heart Association BLS CPR course we at CPR of America cover a variety of life saving techniques including

  • The steps to set up an AED and deliver a shock

  • Using an AED to potential eliminate abnormal arrhythmias

  • Administering sets of compressions which include 30 compressions and 2 breaths

  • How to use the CE technique when providing ventilations with a bag mask device

  • Using the abdominal thrust to hopefully alleviate an abstraction object

  • The American Heart Association's six team roles and guidelines for each role.

  • Much more!
